Aprile è volto al termine e ormai stiamo per chiudere il periodo della raccolta, che ti ricordiamo si concluderà a metà Maggio!
Il mese appena trascorso è stato caratterizzato da un paio di eventi più significativi degli altri: l‘asta dei colombi rientrati dalla finale della WINTER EDITION 2021-2022 e il secondo giro di raccolta nel Nord Europa!
Ovviamente non sono state le uniche cose degne di nota, abbiamo anche iniziato a riempire il loft coi novelli che parteciperanno alla SUMMER EDITION 2022 (loft che fino ad una buona parte di Marzo era occupato dei colombi tornati dalla finale da Macerata), vaccinato tutti i nuovi arrivi col vaccino per il rotavirus e i colombi hanno cominciato, verso la fine del mese, ad ambientarsi uscendo dalla colombaia ed esplorando il territorio!
Ovviamente rispettiamo una quarantena per i nuovi colombi che arrivano da ogni giro che facciamo, evitando così, per quanto possibile, di mescolare troppe faune batteriche nella speranza di ridurre il più possibile eventuali problemi di salute.
Nel mese di Maggio ci concentreremo sul terminare la raccolta nel migliore dei modi, poi procederemo ad inserire tutti i colombi e i partecipanti sul sito BENZING. Tutte queste informazioni ti verranno sicuramente comunicate.

April is over and we are now about to close the harvest period, which we remind you will end in mid-May!
The past month was characterized by a couple of events more significant than the others: the auction of the pigeons returned from the final of the WINTER EDITION 2021-2022 and the second round of harvesting in Northern Europe!
Obviously they were not the only things worthy of note, we also started filling the loft with the newcomers who will participate in the SUMMER EDITION 2022 (loft that until a good part of March was occupied by the pigeons returned from the final from Macerata), vaccinated all the new arrivals with the rotavirus vaccine and the pigeons began, towards the end of the month, to settle down by coming out of the dovecote and exploring the territory!
Obviously we respect a quarantine for the new pigeons that arrive from every collection route we do, thus avoiding, as far as possible, to mix too many bacterial faunas in the hope of reducing any health problems as much as possible.
In May we will concentrate on finishing the harvest in the best possible way, then we will proceed to insert all the pigeons and the participants on the BENZING website. All this information will surely be communicated to you.

ASTA WINTER EDITION 2021-2022 / AUCTION WINTER EDITION 2021-2022
Anche questa asta è andata bene. Siamo infatti soddisfatti per l’interesse che viene mostrato nei confronti dei colombi che partecipano alle nostre competizioni.
Sono andati in asta 82 colombi, e di questi ne sono stati puntati 67, vale a dire circa l’82% dei novelli in asta. Siamo convinti che la percentuale di venduti, rispetto agli invenduti, sia molto buona e questo non può che dimostrare l’attenzione che i nostri colombi suscitano tra gli appassionati!
Sicuramente degni di nota sono stati il colombo di Xu Ni, vincitore del 1º ACE Pigeons, che porta il numero di matricola IT-085680-21 e che è stato battuto ad una cifra di poco superiore ai 1.800€.
Il colombo che si è aggiudicato il 1º posto in finale, con matricola IT-18660-21, del Team Maarsseveensevaart , che è stato venduto per una cifra vicina ai 600€.
E il colombo di Cachia Josef, il 10-4440-21, che, oltre ad essersi piazzato in 9ª posizione alla finale, si è classificato 3º ACE Pigeons. Questo bravissimo viaggiatore è stato acquistato in asta per la cifra di 450€.
Molti altri novelli sono stati venduti per cifre comprese tra 200€ e 300€, questi 3 erano solo quelli che volevamo portare alla tua attenzione. Facciamo comunque i nostri complimenti a tutti i proprietari per la grande qualità dei loro colombi!
This auction also went well. We are in fact satisfied with the interest shown in the pigeons participating in our competitions.
82 pigeons were auctioned, and of these 67 were put up for stake, that is about 82% of the young ones in the auction. We are convinced that the percentage of sold, compared to unsold, is very good and this can only demonstrate the attention that our pigeons arouse among enthusiasts!
Certainly noteworthy were the pigeon from Xu Ni, winner of the 1st ACE Pigeons, which bears the registration number IT-085680-21 and which was beaten to a figure of just over € 1,800.
The pigeon who won the 1st place in the final, with registration number IT-18660-21, of Team Maarsseveensevaart, which was sold for a figure close to € 600.
And the pigeon from Cachia Josef, 10-4440-21, who, in addition to having placed 9th in the final, ranked 3rd ACE Pigeons. This talented traveler was purchased at auction for the sum of 450 €.
Many other novels were sold for between € 200 and € 300, these 3 were just the ones we wanted to bring to your attention. However, we congratulate all the owners for the great quality of their pigeons!
SECONDO GIRO NEL NORD EUROPA / SECOND COLLECTING ROUTE IN NORTHERN EUROPE
Da mercoledì 20 Aprile a venerdì 22 Aprile siamo stati impegnati nel secondo giro di raccolta nei paesi del Nord Europa! Nello specifico abbiamo raccolto colombi provenienti dalla Svizzera, dalla Francia, dal Belgio, dall’Olanda e dalla Germania!
La raccolta è cominciata in Svizzera, con la sosta alla colombaia del nostro carissimo amico Giuseppe Graziano che, oltre al grande lavoro di raccolta dei colombi, ci ha offerto una buonissima e abbondantissima colazione!
Poi ci siamo diretti verso il Belgio, dove abbiamo incontrato il gentilissimo Leandre Leveque, che ci ha consegnato alcuni colombi della zona della Vallonia. Dopo questa sosta ci siamo fermati per cenare e dormire, consapevoli che il giorno seguente sarebbe stato, a dir poco, molto impegnativo!
Pronti via e ci siamo diretti a fare delle commissioni dai fratelli Simons, e abbiamo anche ottenuto un contatto importantissimo per le raccolte delle prossime edizioni, ma lo vedrai nelle prossime novità 😉 .
Poi siamo stati ospiti del grandissimo Ulrich Lemmens che, oltre ad aver iscritto e consegnato alcuni suoi colombi, ci ha mostrato le sue colombaie, sono talmente belle e organizzate che siamo rimasti letteralmente di stucco!
Il giro è continuato verso le colombaie di Bert Penné, che ringraziamo per il lavoro fatto e per averci mostrato il suo sistema di viaggio. Pochi colombi e grande salute, queste sono le sue linee guida!
Sinceramente, durante quella giornata, abbiamo perso il conto delle volte che abbiamo attraversato il confine tra Belgio e Olanda! Quasi tutti i colombofili che abbiamo incontrato infatti abitano, o hanno le colombaie, vicino al confine. Comunque, dopo l’incontro con Bert, ci siamo diretti in direzione Peter Van De Merwe, dove ci ha raggiunti anche un membro del Team vincitore della finale della WINTER EDITION 2021-2022. Come ogni edizione Peter è stato disponibilissimo e non smetteremo mai di ringraziarlo!
Ci mancava solo una tappa, per completare l’itinerario di quella giornata, ma prima abbiamo voluto fare una breve visita al nostro grande amico Aad Van Berkel. Non è stata una visita di “lavoro”, ma di piacere! Poterlo incontrare è sempre una grande emozione e siamo grati del regalo che ci ha fatto, un novello delle sue migliori famiglie!
Finalmente ci siamo diretti verso il Nord dell’Olanda, dai fratelli Dekker, per effettuare l’ultima tappa! Con loro abbiamo stretto una bellissima amicizia alla fiera di Houten e non possiamo che esserne onorati. Li ringraziamo ancora una volta non solo per la fiducia mostrata e per il lavoro che hanno svolto, ma soprattutto per la bellissima serata che abbiamo passato in loro compagnia.
P.S. La carne che ci hanno consigliato a cena era qualcosa di veramente spaziale! 😀
Dopo una giornata così intensa ci siamo concessi un’altrettanto intensa dormita. Il giorno seguente abbiamo effettuato due tappe in Germania, dai nostri bravissimi agenti Daum Thorsten e Uwe Wollitzer!
Con loro abbiamo parlato di come poter aumentare il numero di partecipanti tedeschi alla nostra OLR e dobbiamo dire che entrambi ci hanno dato consigli che sicuramente applicheremo alle prossime edizioni. Siamo convinti che, essendo esperti del loro territorio, le indicazioni che ci hanno fornito ci aiuteranno ad incrementare il numero di colombi provenienti dalla Germania!
Questo era il riepilogo dettagliato di tutto il giro nel Nord Europa, col quale abbiamo praticamente concluso il mese di Aprile!
Ora ci stiamo concentrando sul Nord e Centro Italia per concludere la raccolta della SUMMER EDITION 2022. Contemporaneamente abbiamo iniziato a liberare i novelli arrivati per primi, mentre per tutti quelli arrivati al loft successivamente stiamo osservando dei periodi di quarantena, e vaccinato tutti i colombi.
Questo periodo è molto delicato per i novelli ed è necessario concentrarsi sullo stato di salute per evitare di compromettere il loro fisico in vista degli sforzi futuri!
Da Maggio inizieranno quattro mesi, fino alla fine della SUMMER EDITION 2022 insomma, in cui daremo aggiornamenti bisettimanali (come facciamo sempre durante il periodo di addestramenti/gare e quello appena antecedente), quindi non ci resta che darti appuntamento fra due settimane circa!
From Wednesday 20 April to Friday 22 April we were engaged in the second round of harvesting in the countries of Northern Europe! Specifically, we have collected pigeons from Switzerland, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany!
The collecting route began in Switzerland, with a stop at the dovecote of our dear friend Giuseppe Graziano who, in addition to the great work of collecting the doves, offered us a very good and abundant breakfast!
Then we headed to Belgium, where we met the very kind Leandre Leveque, who gave us some pigeons from the Wallonia area. After this stop we stopped for dinner and sleep, knowing that the following day would be, to say the least, very busy!
Ready to go and we went to do some errands with the Simons brothers, and we also got a very important contact for the collections of the next editions, but you will see it in the next news 😉 .
Then we were guests of the great Ulrich Lemmens who, in addition to having registered and delivered some of his doves, showed us his dovecotes, they are so beautiful and organized that we were literally stunned!
The tour continued towards Bert Penné’s loft, whom we thank for the work done and for showing us his travel system. Few pigeons and great health, these are his guidelines!
Honestly, during that day, we lost count of the times we crossed the border between Belgium and Holland! In fact, almost all the pigeon lovers we have met live, or have dovecotes, near the border. However, after the meeting with Bert, we headed towards Peter Van De Merwe, where a member of the winning Team of the WINTER EDITION 2021-2022 final also joined us. Like every edition, Peter was extremely available and we will never stop thanking him!
We only needed one stop to complete that day’s itinerary, but first we wanted to make a short visit to our great friend Aad Van Berkel. It was not a “business” visit, but a pleasure one! Being able to meet him is always a great emotion and we are grateful for the gift he has given us, a new one of his best families!
Finally we headed to the North of Holland, to the Dekker brothers, to make the last stop! We made a beautiful friendship with them at the Houten fair and we can only be honored. We thank them once again not only for the trust shown and for the work they have done, but above all for the beautiful evening we spent in their company.
P.S. The meat they recommended for dinner was something truly fantastic! : D
After such a busy day we allowed ourselves an equally intense sleep. The following day we made two stops in Germany, by our talented agents Daum Thorsten and Uwe Wollitzer!
We talked with them about how to increase the number of German participants in our OLR and we must say that they both gave us advice that we will certainly apply to the next editions. We are convinced that, being experts in their territory, the information they have given us will help us to increase the number of pigeons from Germany!
This was the detailed summary of the whole tour in Northern Europe, with which we practically concluded the month of April!
Now we are concentrating on Northern and Central Italy to conclude the collection of the SUMMER EDITION 2021. At the same time we have started to free the newcomers who arrived first, while for all those who arrived at the loft later we are observing quarantine periods, and vaccinating all the pigeons.
This period is very delicate for the novices and it is necessary to focus on the state of health to avoid compromising their physique in view of future efforts!
Four months will begin from May, until the end of the SUMMER EDITION 2022 in short, in which we will give bi-weekly updates (as we always do during the training / competition period and the one just before), so we just have to give you an appointment in about two weeks!
