Con la chiusura del mese di Maggio si è anche conclusa la SPRING EDITION 2022-2023. È stata un’edizione divertente e molto impegnativa, che ci ha regalato diverse soddisfazioni. Ultima tra queste, l’asta dei colombi che sono rientrati dalla FINALE di Macerata (408 km)!
Il mese appena trascorso ci ha infatti visti particolarmente impegnati nell’organizzazione di questa asta, e a tal proposito ringraziamo il sito www.pigeonspanacea.com per averla ospitata, e nelle raccolte dei colombi per la prossima edizione, la SUMMER EDITION 2023-2024!
Il resto del nostro tempo l’abbiamo impiegato nel mantenimento dei novelli arrivati dalle scorse raccolte. Come al solito abbiamo diviso il loft in vari reparti (avendo la possibilità di poterlo fare) e utilizzato altre colombaie più piccole per mantenere divisi i colombi durante il periodo di quarantena. Sta andando tutto molto bene e i primi arrivati hanno iniziato ad effettuare, ormai da qualche giorno, le prime volate!
Ma torniamo a due argomenti principali di Maggio…
With the end of the month of May, the SPRING EDITION 2022-2023 also ended. It was a fun and very demanding edition, which gave us various satisfactions. Last among these, the auction of the pigeons that have returned from the FINAL in Macerata (408 km)!
In fact, the past month has seen us particularly busy organizing this auction, and in this regard we thank the website www.pigeonspanacea.com for hosting it, and in the collections of pigeons for the next edition, the SUMMER EDITION 2023-2024!
The rest of our time was spent maintaining the newcomers from the past collections. As usual we divided the loft into various departments (having the possibility of being able to do so) and used other smaller dovecotes to keep the pigeons divided during the quarantine period. Everything is going very well and the first arrivals have started making their first sprints for a few days now!
But let’s go back to two main topics of May…
Raccolte SUMMER EDITION 2023-2024 / Collecting route SUMMER EDITION 2023-2024
Il primo fine settimana del mese siamo stati in Sicilia per raccogliere i colombi degli amici siciliani e maltesi. Non possiamo fare altro che ringraziare tutti i nostri agenti e quelli che hanno deciso di donarci la loro fiducia!
Il numero di colombi raccolti ha superato le nostre aspettative e, siccome non tutti i colombofili avevano pronti i novelli in quelle date, con buone probabilità torneremo a Luglio per effettuare un altro giro di raccolta!
Maggio è stato anche il mese delle raccolte nel Centro-Nord Italia, delle quali ci siamo occupati personalmente. Siamo stati, fra le altre, in Lombardia, Piemonte, Liguria ed Emilia-Romagna, anche in questo caso valgono i ringraziamenti espressi poco fa!
Ci sono anche arrivati alcuni colombi, tramite il nostro trasportatore, dal Centro-Sud Italia, in particolare dalla Campania! È davvero bello poter ospitare i campioni di così tanti colombofili diversi e provenienti da tutta la nostra fantastica nazione!
The first weekend of the month we went to Sicily to collect pigeons from Sicilian and Maltese friends. We can’t do anything but thank all our agents and those who have decided to give us their trust!
The number of pigeons collected exceeded our expectations and, since not all pigeon lovers had their new pigeons ready on those dates, we will most likely return in July to carry out another collection round!
May was also the month of harvests in central-northern Italy, which we personally took care of. We have been, among others, in Lombardy, Piedmont, Liguria and Emilia-Romagna, also in this case the thanks expressed just now are valid!
Some pigeons have also arrived, via our carrier, from Central-Southern Italy, in particular from Campania! It’s really nice to be able to host champions from so many different pigeon lovers from all over our amazing nation!
Asta SPRING EDITION 2022-2023 / SPRING EDITION 2022-2023 auction
Partiamo subito dicendo che è andata molto bene, sintomo che la qualità presente nell’edizione appena conclusa era veramente alta!
Diversi colombi hanno raggiunto la cifra 500€ e in alcuni casi, come il 1º e il 2º ACE Pigeon, hanno superato i 1.000€ (e non di poco)! Senza considerare i tanti colombi aggiudicati a delle cifre molto interessanti, comprese tra i 200€ e i 400€!
È sempre bello quando un’asta di una OLR va bene, questo per vari motivi. Per prima cosa il riconoscimento che i colombi in questione erano molto bravi e in seconda battuta la soddisfazione economica (sia per noi che per i proprietari) che, seppur non rappresenti la principale motivazione, è pur sempre piacevole!
A Giugno ci dedicheremo ancora alle raccolte e al mantenimento di uno stato di salute che sia il migliore possibile di tutti i colombi presenti! Sarà comunque un mese abbastanza tranquillo (ogni tanto ci vuole) che sfrutteremo sia per recuperare qualche energia che per preparare al meglio i cinque addestramenti extra, che si svolgeranno tra Agosto e Settembre, della SUMMER EDITION 2023-2024!

Let’s start immediately by saying that it went very well, a symptom that the quality present in the edition that has just ended was really high!
Several pigeons have reached the figure of €500 and in some cases, such as the 1st and 2nd ACE Pigeon, have exceeded €1,000 (and quite a bit)! Without considering the many pigeons sold at very interesting prices, between €200 and €400!
It’s always nice when an OLR auction goes well, for various reasons. Firstly, the acknowledgment that the pigeons in question were very good and secondly the economic satisfaction (both for us and for the owners) which, although not the main reason, is still pleasant!
In June we will still dedicate ourselves to collecting and maintaining a state of health that is the best possible of all the pigeons present! However, it will be a fairly quiet month (sometimes needed) that we will use both to recover some energy and to better prepare for the five extra training sessions, which will take place between August and September, of the SUMMER EDITION 2023-2024!
