Come ti avevamo accennato negli aggiornamenti precedenti, Settembre sarebbe stato il mese dedicato agli addestramenti “extra”, quelli, per intenderci, dedicati ai colombi arrivati al loft in primavera (per la precisione entro inizio Luglio)!
Avevamo programmato di fare quattro o cinque addestramenti che andavano dai circa 3 km fino ad arrivare a 35 km, ma, complice un meteo non ottimale per effettuare i lanci durante quei giorni, abbiamo dovuto accontentarci di tre. L’ultimo di questi addestramenti è stato effettuato ad inizio Ottobre, ma per comodità lo abbiamo inserito in questo aggiornamento.
Fortunatamente sono andati tutti bene e non ci sono stati particolari problemi. Dei 540 colombi circa ingabbiati(ti ricordiamo che non sono tutti i colombi iscritti, ma solamente quelli più grandi, e che per tutti i novelli presenti a Marzo si terranno gli addestramenti ufficiali come da programma) per il primo addestramento ne sono rientrati circa 500 dall’ultimo!
Ma ora entriamo nel dettaglio…
As we had mentioned in previous updates, September would have been the month dedicated to “extra” training, those, so to speak, dedicated to the pigeons who arrived at the loft in spring (to be precise by the beginning of July)!
We had planned to do four or five training sessions ranging from about 3 km up to 35 km, but, thanks to the weather not being optimal for carrying out the launches during those days, we had to settle for three. The last of these trainings was carried out at the beginning of October, but for convenience we have included it in this update.
Fortunately they all went well and there were no particular problems. Of the approximately 540 basketed pigeons (we remind you that these are not all the registered pigeons, but only the larger ones, and that official training will be held for all the new ones present in March as scheduled) for the first training, approximately 500 returned from last!
But now let’s get into detail…
1º addestramento (Settembre) / 1st training (September)
Poco fa ti abbiamo accennato che i colombi ingabbiati per questo primo addestramento sono stati 540, e di questi ne sono rientrati 512!
Il lancio è avvenuto il 26 Settembre alle ore 9 da Sant’Angelo Lodigiano, un paese a circa 5 km dal nostro loft, e non ci sono stati intoppi di nessun genere, il meteo quel giorno è stato particolarmente buono. Eravamo praticamente già pronti per il secondo addestramento in programma due giorni dopo.
A little while ago we told you that 540 pigeons were basketed for this first training, and of these 512 returned!
The launch took place on September 26th at 9am from Sant’Angelo Lodigiano, a town about 5 km from our loft, and there were no problems of any kind, the weather that day was particularly good. We were practically ready for the second training scheduled two days later.
2º addestramento (Settembre) / 2nd training (September)
Il lancio del secondo addestramento si è tenuto il 28 Settembre da Massalengo (12 km dal loft) e dei 532 ingabbiati ne sono rientrati più di 500, insomma un buon risultato!
La difficoltà di questi addestramenti non consisteva nella distanza, ma nel fatto che sono i primi e che l’autunno non sempre aiuta i colombi a trovare la strada di casa. Invece non possiamo lamentarci e ci riteniamo veramente soddisfatti.
Tutto era pronto per proseguire col nostro programma, ma in quei giorni il clima stava diventando più “autunnale”, vale a dire che al mattino, nonostante le belle giornate, c’era una leggera nebbia che ovviamente dava fastidio ai novelli durante il volo.
The launch of the second training was held on 28 September from Massalengo (12 km from the loft) and of the 532 basketed, more than 500 returned, in short, a good result!
The difficulty of these trainings was not in the distance, but in the fact that they are the first and that autumn does not always help the pigeons find their way home. However, we cannot complain and we are truly satisfied.
Everything was ready to continue with our program, but in those days the climate was becoming more “autumn-like”, meaning that in the morning, despite the beautiful days, there was a light fog which obviously bothered the newbies during the flight.
3º addestramento (Ottobre) / 3rd training (October)
Purtroppo il terzo addestramento è stato anche l’ultimo e la causa è da attribuire, come detto in precedenza, al meteo. Il giorno di questo addestramento, il 4 Ottobre, abbiamo dovuto aspettare quasi un’ora per lanciare i colombi posticipando così l’orario indicato sul BENZING.
Fortunatamente questa attesa ha permesso ai novelli di orientarsi e al cielo di schiarirsi leggermente, così anche questo addestramento è andato bene!
Dei 514 colombi ingabbiati ne sono rientrati 493!
Ci teniamo a ricordarti che i colombi che si sono persi durante questi tre addestramenti possono venire rimpiazzati dai loro proprietari gratuitamente e le liste al quale fare riferimento sono l’ingabbio del primo addestramento e l’arrivo dell’ultimo. In poche parole: i colombi che erano presenti nel primo ingabbio e mancano nell’ordine di arrivo dell’ultimo sono quelli che hanno diritto ad essere sostituiti!
Nei mesi che verranno ci concentreremo sulla salute dei colombi e sul prepararli al meglio per la prossima primavera, gli addestramenti e le gare della SUMMER EDITION 2023-2024 attendono i nostri campioni!

Unfortunately, the third training session was also the last and the cause can be attributed, as previously mentioned, to the weather. On the day of this training, October 4th, we had to wait almost an hour to launch the pigeons, thus postponing the time indicated on the BENZING.
Fortunately, this wait allowed the novices to orient themselves and the sky to lighten slightly, so this training went well too!
Of the 514 basketed pigeons, 493 were returned!
We would like to remind you that the pigeons that are lost during these three training sessions can be replaced by their owners free of charge and the lists to refer to are the cage of the first training and the arrival of the last one. In short: the pigeons that were present in the first cage and are missing in the order of arrival of the last one are the ones that have the right to be replaced!
In the coming months we will focus on the health of the pigeons and on preparing them as best as possible for next spring, the training and competitions of the SUMMER EDITION 2023-2024 await our champions!
